Who these terms are between
These terms apply between House Services 24/7 and the customer booking a repair, whether the booking is made by telephone or through the external booking link. Booking a visit means accepting them.
The service call
The service call is $89. It covers the trip to your address and a full diagnosis of the appliance: model and serial recorded, temperatures read, airflow and defrost checked, electrical measurements taken, and sealed system pressures where the symptoms indicate it. The fee is payable whether or not you go ahead with the repair. If you do go ahead, it is credited against the repair total.
Quotes and approval
No repair work begins without your approval of a quote that names the part and the labour. If a further fault is found once work is under way, work stops and the additional work is quoted before anything continues. Prices given before a technician has examined the appliance are indications of what a fault type usually involves, not quotes.
Parts
We fit genuine OEM parts matched to the serial number of your appliance. Parts that are not carried on the van are ordered against that serial number and fitted on a return visit, which is booked before the first visit ends. Availability of parts for discontinued models is outside our control.
Access and site conditions
Built-in refrigeration frequently has to be drawn out of a cabinet opening to be worked on. Where joinery, flooring or plumbing has been fitted in a way that prevents that safely, we will explain what is needed before proceeding. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to flooring, cabinetry or supply lines revealed when a unit is moved, and we will point it out when we find it.
Workmanship
Repairs are carried out to a professional standard and the appliance is run and its temperatures checked before we leave. If a repair we carried out fails, telephone (669) 338-4601 and we will come back to it. Faults unrelated to the original repair are new work and are quoted as such.
Limits of what we will do
Some faults are not economically or safely repairable — a refrigerant leak inside a foamed cabinet wall being the clearest example. Where that is the case we will say so and explain why, rather than carry out work unlikely to hold. A diagnosis that concludes an appliance is not worth repairing is still a completed diagnosis and the service call applies.
Cancellation
Cancel or move an appointment by telephone at any time before the technician is dispatched to you and there is no charge. A visit where nobody is at the address, or where the appliance cannot be accessed, is a completed call-out and the service call applies.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work. The service call is due at the end of the diagnostic visit if you choose not to proceed.
Independence
House Services 24/7 is an independent appliance repair company. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Sub-Zero Group, Inc., Wolf Appliance, Inc. or any other manufacturer. Brand and model names are used only to describe the equipment we work on.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. This version was last reviewed in 2026.
